Natascha Borowsky born in Germany, is currently working as artist-in-residence at Lost Generation Space on invitation of the Goethe Institute. She studied with Bernd and Hilla Becher at theAcademy of Arts, Düsseldorf, Germany, graduating as master student. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in Germany and abroad.
Since 2006, she has been teaching at the University of Krefeld, Germany. The approach to her work being a conceptual one, the artist is engaged in an ongoing project, using found objects and material and an analogue largeformat camera.

She was having a talk in our college today. She shared a lot about her idea and experience of her ongoing project. Her concept in her artworks is to potray the natural found objects. All of her artworks are untitle, she tried to use photo as a tool of asking question. She believes that everything can go further more with a question but it will stop if there is with an answer with it.
She calls herself as an artist rather than a photographer because she thinks that photo is a medium which is for her to express her concept and idea. Photographer is a person who likes to explore different ways of technique in taking photo. There is a bit different between artist and photographer. She remains using the large analogue camera which we use to see in old movie, she thinks that the quality is much better than the digital photo. the film she uses is 4*5inches and the photo is as big as a postcard, so the texture can be see clearly. Besides that, she enjoys the slow progress in tooking and processing the photo. This is also one of her reason in using the large analogue camera rather than using digital camera.
Other than an object on the photo, I see a sense of peace and silent from her artworks.
